About The Coalition

Our Mission

The mission of the Tobacco Coalition is to prevent/reduce tobacco use and assist the members of the communities within Pottawattamie County to engage in the healthy behaviors and avoid economic consequences of tobacco use through prevention, cessation, education, and advocacy.

The objectives for which this coalition is established are as follows

  • To serve as a broad based tobacco prevention and cessation coalition that is comprised of presentation from a variety of stakeholders, including youth.

  • To educate the community.

  • To take action on tobacco related issues impacting Pottawattamie County.

Coalition Meetings

Annual Meeting - The annual meeting of the Coalition shall be held the fourth Wednesday of June.

Coalition Meetings -The coalition meets the fourth Wednesday of the month on the Iowa Western Community College Campus at Looft Hall in room 107. The meeting time is at noon and lunch is provided. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome. A phone call of attendance is appreciated so we can plan appropriately. 712.325.6831
